  • 1/2 cup whipped cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 6-inch cake pan.
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  1. In another bowl, whisk the vegetable oil, eggs, orange juice, and orange zest until smooth.
  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mix and stir until the batter is smooth and glossy.
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  1. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, then let it cool completely before slicing.
  1. Spread orange curd and whipped cream between the layers, then cover the entire cake with chocolate ganache.
  1. Decorate with candied orange slices and dark chocolate curls, then chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.
