- Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup, vanilla, and rum aroma, then chill in the fridge for 1–2 hours until firm.
- Scoop about a teaspoon of the mixture, roll it into a ball, and press an almond in the center; wrap the mixture around the almond and shape into a smooth ball.
- Roll each ball in extra shredded coconut until fully coated, then place on a parchment-lined tray and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
